The only way Sakura would have a chance against Lee would be with 100 healings. He really would even need gates. I don't know if 100 healings would save her from 10 tons of pressure on her head (primary lotus)

Also, Lee is above Kage level. He can now open 6 gates and he's trained his body to withstand them. Before, his muscles were tearing themselves apart with just the 4th gate. Now, he can go in, and quickly out of them with only slight fatigue. Gaara won because 1. Plot and 2. Lee was already in bad shape when he did hidden lotus. You don't see me using gates on Revolution when I only have 10% health left.
