There are several problems with this statement.

I present to you a timeline of upcoming Nintendo stuff coming out

Notice how the only games coming out for the Wii U in 2016 are SMTXFE and Zelda?
THAT ISN'T ENOUGH!
The Wii U NEEDS more exclusives next year.

Also it's Pokemon. It should give the Wii U a small sales boost at the least if they market it well. It's most likely going to be the MK8 or Splatoon of 2016, coming out just before the summer.

Game Freak aren't trolling you. They have nothing to do with this game. It is a Namco fighting game, not main series Pokemon. I also have doubts about the 3DS running it.
