Give CM some more priority
carlos11 (2015-03-04 01:43:22)Sounds good, faggot.
What you have in mind are things a CM should already be able to do.
Language is a tool for efficient communication. The internet is a tool for fast communication. Do not defy both intents by posting incoherent writing.
Jason2k15 (2015-03-04 02:06:31)Yep, now all we gotta do is CM Edgee, and we're good.
Drake be like
Good idea is good

I'll be checking in on this site from time to time. It's not as good as it used to be, but it wouldn't hurt to check in.
The CM shouldn't be able to touch the rules....they're not an admin, and they don't own the site. The CMs are just that...Community Managers. They don't/shouldn't run the site...they only manage the community under the alredy set and official rules.
Promoting News Posters and having access to the ban log is reasonable, though...
I don't think the ability to open and close registration is a good idea for the CM.....this is a rather touchy (for lack of a better word) action and I think only the site owner should be able to make that decision. Opening/closing registation isn't really necessary anymore ever since account activiation, right?

As a person against Big Government I am very against some of these powers you want. CM is not almost ruler of the site. They just manage the community. Being able to change rules and opening/closing registration would basically make you absolute ruler.

DrakeJericho (2015-03-06 17:58:08)Good point is good Lani
And I totally forgot about the accepting new users part, but I'll leave the rules part up
SicSemperTyra (2015-03-07 02:10:22)CM having control over the rules would allow absolute control for the CM over the site. Since youve had a history of cronyism (see: youre CMing of h4d), the ability to change rules would only tighten your control over how the site is run.

I had been thinking about this for a long while. And most of it shouldn't be hard to code.
1) Allow the CM to edit the set rules.
2) Allow the CM to have full access to the ban log.
3) Allow CM to also appoint Newsposters.
That's all I have in mind right now
