Kept you waiting, huh?... No?... Ok, whatever. I'm still gonna do this anyway. It's better being late than never. So what the heck!

I am going to review the best 3DS game out there, and that is Super Smash Bros. 3DS!

[Box Art]
Super Smash Bros. For Nintendo 3DS is the actual 4th entry in the series. (The Wii U version is technically the 5th entry.) Not only it's the first entry in the series to be in stereoscopic 3D, but this is also the first Super Smash Bros. game to be on a handheld. So now we can play our favorite fighting party game on the go! (A dream come true for me.) So, what does the game offer? Well... According to Did You Know Gaming, Smash 3DS is the second biggest entry of the series, right behind is Smash Wii U, and next to Smash 3DS is Brawl. So that shows the massive content the game offers. (Obviously the Wii U version is better, but that's the point. So please, leave that on a different thread!)

VISUALS
[Gameplay!]
The game really looks vibrant, colorful... and a bit pixelated due to the 3DS's small resolution. But it still looks great! I actually comapred to Melee. It's almost par with the game! So really, it has amazing visuals! Characters will be small to see, so that's why they're outlined to be easier to see. But that feature is optional. The framerate mostly stays at 60fps. There will be some slowdowns when there are way too many things on the screen at once. The 3D visuals is also great! Still maintaining 60fps. Deph is really cool! But my major drawback when using the 3D is that is breaks so easily! Smash can get very intense sometimes, so you'll be moving the system a lot, thus making the screen look blurred, making you mess up. So I mostly play the game in 2D because of that. Luckly, the New 3DS won't have that issue.

Overall, amazing visuals for a handheld!

CONTROLS
[More gameplay!]
Just like any other Smash game, the game is very easy to pick up and play, but hard to master. But the 3DS was very awkward at first. I mostly used GameCube controller for almost my entire life, so adapting to the 3DS was very dificult at first. Luckly, the game offers to change button controls, so for me, I changed the controls similar to the GameCube controller. Since then, it became much easier to control. The Circle Pad is really sensitive. Way sensitive that will make you point at the wrong direction sometimes. And yes, you can disable flicking to jump, thus not making me mess up. The buttons feels very clicky and responsive.

Overall, great gameplay!

MUSIC & SOUND
[Sountrack pic]
Music is amazing and very joyful to listen to. Some may include music you've never heard but will become your favorite song! The 3DS version has 115 pieces! That's at least an hour or two worth of music! Sound effects are also great! Filled with retro, modern, and mysterious sounds! Voices are also great. Most being recycled from Brawl, they still sound great. You can also change the balance between the sound effects, voices, and music. Hate voices? Disable it! Hate the Sound effects? Disable it! Don't like the music? (You must be insane if you do...) Disable that too!

Overall, amazing soundtrack, effects, and customizitaion!

CONTENT
[Game and More screen!]
The game is jam packed with pure content, collectables, and modes! You'll easily get lost by it!

Single player mode
The game offers a virety of single player games, like Classic Mode, Home Run Contest, Multi-Man Smash, All Star Mode, and the brand new Target Blast mode. You can also play Multi-Man Smash and All Star Mode with a friend!

Classic Mode
Classic Mode got a big change on the 3DS version. It's no longer a leniar line fighting a set of characters. Now, you can chose who to fight against. You'll have 3 options, and those options are also based on skill. Blue being easy, green being normal, and red being hard. So it's all up to you. You make the road to Master Hand, (Or Crazy Hand) and defeat him! Pretty unique in the series.

Target Blast
Target Blast is a combination of Home Run Contest, and Target Smash. You'll be using your Home Run Contest skills to hit a bomb. Luanch that bomb to the targets at an arena and try to score the highest! Kinda feels like Angry Birds. It's an ok mode, I guess... But not my favorite though.

Smash Run
Smash Run is a mode exclusive to the 3DS version. You're set in a huge arena. Explore the area and defeat enemies to improve your stats. You'll only have 5 minutes. After that, you'll be doing a random final battle that only lasts a minute, like a regular Smash round, or special Smash, Mushroom Smash, Giant Smash, Reflective Smash, or other. And on some rare ocations, you'll be playing a mini game instead, like a Multi-Smash battle, defeat waves of enemies from veriety of Nintendo games, or (my personal favotites) Climb!, and Run! In Climb, you'll have to jump the farthest. As you get higher, more hazards will appear, so be careful! And Run, where you'll race to the finish! (Sounds familiar? It should be.)

My overall impressions of Smash Run is mixed. I like the idea of having a huge arena and fight there for 5 minutes, but it's not that great as I expected. Even if you're playing with friends, the entire exploration is solo. So you won't get to see them with you, nor fight them. Then the final battle is too short. I think one minute isn't enough to Smash. So overall, I'm pretty meh with that.

Overall of the single player mode is great!

ONLINE
This is very contraversial. This mode really depends on your Internet connection. For me, I get little to no lag at all. Gameplay feels smooth, and accurate input controls! The mode offers modes. For Fun and For Glory is really a genius idea! For Fun playing casualy in teams, or a free for all. But For Glory is where is at! Play competitevley in a free for all, teams, or against a single opponent! So show who's boss! Then, if you're tierd of playing, you can watch other people fighting and place bets! And especially showing that person's winning percentage really helps you predict the winner. Overall, amazing online mode! Sucks for you if your internet sucks.

REPLAY VALUE{/u]
[Vault screen!]
The game has a crap load of replay value! So many things to do!

First up, you have the main game. Of course you'll be playing it over and over. Espcially with friends! I always play Smash with my friends at school. We all have a good time playing it since launch. We sometimes play it casually, or competitivley. In fact, I already played more than 1000 matches!

Then you have the custom moves and equipment you'll find during Smash battles, Smash Run, or completing an achievemnt. There are over 400 custom items to find, so that'll keep you busy!

And speaking about custom fighters, you can customize your favorite characters, or Mii Characters and power them up! Especially the Mii fighters! So any options to do!

Then you have the trophies! There are 686 trophies to collect! So they made an entire mini game dedicated to get trophies and spmetimes custom parts faster. That is Trophy Rush! You can set a time limit, up to two minutes and thirty seconds. Once you're set, you'll be thrown at a miniature version of Battle field stage. Boxes will be falling from the sky. Destroy those boxes to get combo chains. The higher the combo chain you have, the quicker you'll get trophies! But be careful, there are hazards to avoid, like bombs, concrete blocks, and a lightning attack. If you get KOd, you'll lose your combo chain, some trophies, and get fifteen seconds taken away. Overall, fun game to play!

Overall, amazing replay value! I already registred more than 250 hours of the game! And there is no sign of me slowing down!

[u]CONCLUSION

Overall, this game is jam packed with content, characters, modes, and collectables!

SCORE
9.5

Well, that's about it. I'll add pictres later. I just wanted to put the review itself first.

And as always, thanks for reading, and happy gaming!

More like 6.5/10, Sm4sh was the most disappointing game of 2014. The Wii U version's only redeeming quality is Smash Tour, which is brilliantly designed. It sucks that majority of the crappy community hates it because it's not "No items, Fox only, Final Destination."

Is that negro serious? Smash tour is the absolute worst mode in all of Smash 4. The mode is so crappy because it hardly matters at all what you do when you play it, the outcome is the same.

Smash run has a ton more replay value. It's like BJ goes out of his way to find out what the most unpopular opinion about something is so he can go and preach it. This happens every time.

Smash Tour is really fun when you have people to play with. The power-ups are fun to use, and I enjoy the concept of winning characters through battles. The only thing I dislike about Smash Tour is the final battle, which plays using time match rules instead of stock. Smash Run was boring as hell. It failed at everything Kirby Air Ride did right.

Smash Run was awesome.
BirdJesus (2015-02-18 05:32:36)
Why? City Trial had more things to do than grind. Smash Run is literally just a five-minute grindfest. The end events in City Trail were very diverse. Smash Run primarily has some variant of "fight." The only unique events were the races. City Trial let you interact with players on the map. You can literally have a match of Smash Run were you never directly engaged with another player. Smash Run is garbage.
