Automatic Thread Locking
carlos11 (2015-01-04 02:44:56)I try my best to throw all the junk in the dumpster (The Void).
Language is a tool for efficient communication. The internet is a tool for fast communication. Do not defy both intents by posting incoherent writing.
Jason2k14 (2015-01-04 03:06:03)Yeah sure, why not?

I'm absolutely tired of seeing bumped threads. They are annoying. Even some users are starting bumping sprees and no one but me seemed to notice.
The forum needs a thread-lock system to prevent month old bumping. This is how the system should go:
If the thread is old-
When was the last post on this thread?
May 21st
It is now June 21st. This thread is over a month old so it should be locked.
Now, if the thread is not eligible to be auto-locked:
When was the last post on this thread?
May 21st
It is now May 22nd, so this thread shall stay open.
Anyone agrees with me?
mega recommended an exception to sticky threads.
The system should first, before asking itself questions above, ask:
Is this thread a sticky?
No.
I will check to see if the thread shall be deleted or not.
OR
Is this thread a sticky?
Yes.
Then disregard the thread.
Now, of course, mods can unsticky/close the threads to their power. They've got to have something to do. This system should work the same still.
