During the Japanese 3DS Nintendo Direct, Nintendo reveals a brand new 3DS model with improved everything!

Look at the video!

According to the video, the 3DS will have a built in second circle pad, improved specs making the system run smoother and faster, built in NFC chip, 2 more shoulder buttons, improves 3D viewing angles, and screen resolution increases!

There will be 2 versions: a normal sized 3DS, or a 3DS XL.

So what do you guys think? Will get one when it arrives at your region?

It's expected to release early 2015. I hope so. I really need to upgrade, and the New 3DS is going to be my perfect chance.

The wait is nearly over. I can't wait to update from the original 3DS to this New3DS.

Apparently the nipple stick will be used with MH4U. Instant buy for me. They better localize Xenoblade though.

As for the other changes, at least functionally wise, it's now almost on par with the Vita.

I would really like to see an XL under $200, but I don't think 180 would be the MSRP because money isn't the same everywhere. No, I'm not talking about different currencies.

I mean like in the UK, a regular 3DS game is worth about 60 bucks, wheras in the US, it's only 40.

I don't think the New model that is just soo much better would go for such a great price, unless the goal is to skip the price cut phase and go directly to the getting everyone to buy it phase.

When I first saw it, my mind went boom.

I'm gonna get it, hopefully. It might come out in the US with MH4U too. It's apparently about $154 for the normal New 3DS in Japan (don't wanna calculate yen) and about $181 for the XL.
