I'm not sure if I'm taking this the wrong way but I think the link above the Forums Page saying 'Search forums via Google' should read 'Search threads via Google'.
I think it would make more sense since a 'Forum' is an online discussion where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages, and a 'Thread' is a grouping of posts set-up as a conversation among users of 1 topic.
So this is what I think.

Although 'Search through the forums via Google' may also work.

Yes. I have a problem with this grammar issue too.

Its like when you go to the store and find a sign that says "15 items or less"
Like wtf? It should be "15 items or fewer"

This is like the time Carter had that retarded idea regarding the Creepypasta forum.

In this case, "searching forums" is technically correct. Searching is the verb, forums is the subject. The forums are being searched.

Think of it like this:
A cop shows up at your door. The popo has been onto you for some time now for alleged illegal possession of narcotics, but that's besides the point. He says he's got a search warrant, so you must let him in. Now, he doesn't say he is searching drugs. What he really says is what he's actually doing: searching your house. "Searching drugs" implies that you're looking at one drug (or more, but whatever) and you're looking for something more specific. Likewise, "searching threads" implies that you will get results in the form of comments because you are looking for something specific within the thread rather than just threads.

The forums are a cabinet, the forum sections are drawers, threads are files, and comments are pages within the files.

When you search the cabinet, you get results in the form of individual threads.
