So there's this community project on Facebook called 'The Legend Of Zelda: Tabernacle Of Souls.' The basic goal is to develop a non-profit, fan-made sequel to Majoras Mask, and they're looking for concept artists and people with MMD/PMD skills. Anybody else see this?

There already is an official sequel. It's called "Twilight Princess".

OK, so... fan-made, direct sequel to MM, your companion is a poe named Hiro, takes place in a desert land called 'Jericho,' and the main focuses involve the origin of Majoras Mask and Fierce Dieties Mask, as well as answering the 'What happened to Navi?' question and the 'What happened to Hyrule between OOT and TP?' question. Although not official, a lot of loose ends are looking to be tied.
