In 2013, many top-rate AAA titles released for the 3DS, with new entires in popular franchises such as Animal Crossing and The Legend of Zelda. We even got a sequel to an old Gamecube game, and a franchise-saving RPG title that everyone loved.

So out of all the 3DS games released in 2013, which one was your favorite?

You should also do a best 3DS eShop game, too. If so, I'd pick Edge.

Pokemon X/Y because that's the only 3DS game I have that came out this year.

I would say Fire Emblem: Awakening. The story was deep, the combat tactics required intense planning, DLC was spot-on... I poured almost 600 hours into that game.

The only real 3DS game I've played with a 2013 release date (not including demos or VC games) was Senran Kagura Burst, but as fun and gorgeous as it was, the demo I played for Fire Emblem Awakening leads me to believe that's probably more deserving of the award.
