I have been trying this on my 2DS since yesterday (Christmas Day). Why isn't the freaking eShop working?!

Yesterday, I couldn't even get on it, and if I was lucky, I would get to the Preparing screen, but I was still bombarded with error codes. I tried it today (Boxing Day), and it got past the Preparing screen, and I could browse the eShop. But I couldn't download apps. I have tried to get on the Nintendo 3DS eShop in over 60 tries (no joke). I checked on the Nintendo Internet status, and it said that the Wii U and 3DS eShops were both down, along with the Wii Shop Channel and the DSi Shop. I don't get this, because I can still get to the eShop, I just can't download stuff from it.

The Nintendo Network is down because: Nintendo says that with all the new people that got a 3DS, 2DS and WiiU for Christmas it flooded the Network causeing it to shutdown.

This scares the crap out of me. This means they have to buy more server space! Which could take nintendo weeks to decide how best to implement.

I'm mad pissed about this, I got pokemon X for Christmas but it needs an update to play on line which I can't get because Nintendo Network is down

I hope they will fix this very soon. I'm having this problem too. Poke bank comes out tomorrow and I need to download it.
