Sp, you will need:
Access to The Island
1,000 Bells
Time after 5:00 P.M, or at night

This step doesn't need to be done, but its recommended if you want to make more bells. Go to Town Hall, sit on the mayor's chair, and talk to Isabelle about ordinances. Select "Wealth". I personally don't have it, and I still make 300k-ish each trip.

Everything in your pockets? Store it. You'll need pocket space. Go to the station and put it in the storage locker (or one in your house), bury it, or place it on the floor. Next, go to the dock and talk to Kapp'n. Pay him his 1,000 bells and get to the island.

Go outside and talk to the glyroid. Grab an axe. Now, equip the axe, and cut down EVERY tree except one on either side (coast) of the island, and one in the middle grassy area. Kind of like this:

X represents tree, - represents nothing, green represents the grassy middle area.

This way, you can walk easily walk among the three trees.

Now, because we have so little trees thanks to step two, bugs will spawn faster. And bugs equal bells. Go back to the glyoid and give back the axe and take a net and a rod. This is where money making begins.

Now, you are going to catch only the finest of species.
You will capture only:
CYCLOMMATUS STAGS
RAINBOW STAGS
GOLDEN STAGS
HORNED ELEPHANTS
ATLAS STAGS
GOLIATH STAGS
RAINBOW STAGS
HERCULES STAGS

and fish only for sharks. (all sharks make bells). Golden Stags, Hurcules Stags, and sharks can be troublesome, so i'll include some tips at the end of this thread.

Whenever you fill your pockets with stags and sharks, go back inside and put your things in the basket, located to the left of the desk. Continue this step until the basket is full.

Now, your basket is filled, yes? Talk to the lady and go back home. At the dock, there'll be a basket like at the island with everything you put in it back at the island. Your pockets are empty from step one, yes? So fill up your pockets and go sell at Re-Tail! If its closed, the contents of the basket WILL stay there if you do not pick them up. So you can wait until the next day. But once you sell everything, you will have at least 250k.

Tips for sharks:
You need big reflexes for this. Sharks are tough, you have to reel in maybe the second they bite. Having earphones on can help because you can hear the "plop" of the bite better. Or look closely at your bait and reel when it bites (the bait turnes dark).


Tips for stags:

Nearly every stag can be caught with the sneaking method: press and hold A to sneak up on a stag and release to swing the net. But hercules stags and golddn stags are different. They are very shy. This method has worked for me so far: push the circle pad SSLLIIGGHHTTLLYY so you are walking SUPER SLOW. When the tip of your shoe stands before the shade of the tree, swing. The net is long enough to take care of things from here.
