I hacked my wii with letterbomb and it worked perfectly. But remember never update your wii NEVER!

Dude no you don't. All you need is your wii's mac address to confirm a download or a game capable of performing a exploit like ssbb or TwilightPrincess. Nothing to do with wifi.
