Just yesterday, I bought Cave Story, for the very first time. I remember that I always wanted it, it has ALWAYS been in my Wish List, even when I had my DSi. Seeing the opportunity of the original version in 3D with extras, I was able to cough up ten bucks, and here are the thoughts of someone playing it for the first time.


First of all, let me just say, this game is SUPER addicting. I've been playing since yesterday every chance I got, so far playing for 4 hours and thirty nine minutes. I just can't get enough of the arcade-platform-shooterness.

In my opinion, the plot is well set out to leave you confused and guaranteed to make you keep playing to unlock the answers of the Mimiga.

The 3D actually worked out well in the game for me, one because it helped me as a first-time player seeing which blocks where background and which I could walk on, and two because it fits in nicely with the game.

It was totally worth the ten dollars, plus what I did to get them. Im positive this game I will play over and over!

If you don't have this game, BUY IT NOW. I thought much less of it, but sure enough, it had much more than expected. Much much more.

I wouldn't usually make a forum like this for a title, but for this game, I HAD TO.

Now if you excuse me, I have some Cave Story to play.

Probably one of the best 2D platformers of all time, far surpasses any other modern 2D platformer aside from Rayman Origins.

I got it a year after it came out for Pc. I have every version. *Hardcore fan here.
