I'd rather just have Ryu and Kasumi be in the next Smash Bros. game; I don't think spinoff series would work with SSB, and I know spinoff series don't work with DOA. :l

^ Someone's forgetting the Xtreme Volleyball series... l:l Besides, whereas a fighting game spinoff could be cool if handled properly, I don't think such a thing would be. I think cameo appearances for either sides characters is good enough. Also, please don't bring Mistress into anything unless the point is relevant.

Team Ninja develops the games; Tecmo Koei publishes them. Also, Samus made a brief cameo appearance in Dimensions, so it's not too unlikely that we could see at least one DOA character in the next Smash Bros. game. Besides, nothing's really wrong with the fighting games; it's the spinoffs that have given DOA its infamous reputation. :l
