August has been a good month for Nintendo.

What with all the popular games releasing for the 3DS, it's not surprising that the past month literally scored Nintendo millions.
The two major releases that made August "Nintendo-Month".
The U.S. market research firm NPD has released its gaming sales for the month. The top best-selling games of August were also included. Did Nintendo score? Heck yea. New Super Mario Bros. 2, selling 240,000 units, landed 2nd place while Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, selling 180,000, scored 3rd.
Here's the full list of the top 10 games this month:
Darksiders II (360, PS3, PC)**

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance (3DS)**
NCAA Football 13 (360, PS3)

Yea, only 2 3DS-exclusive titles made the list. But what makes that so important? The fact that it beat 7 other titles. Still pretty awesome.
The 3DS XL not only sold itself, but also other popular, but not-so-recent games such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D and Mario Kart 7.
