Should I try RP

I did it once when I was 9, but that was different. I now have a different opinion on it, and find it very strange. My question is, should I try it, give it a chance? I mean, I've once stalked the RP chat, and it seems kinda fun. But thats not much for me to be convinced to try it. I want normal user's opinions.
