Sakurai On Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U Characters

Sakurai spoke to Nintendo Power saying that for Smash Bros 3DS/Wii U he does not think many more characters will be added, he says he would rather refine the current character roster. He said that in terms of quantity they have already reached the limit of what is feasible, and that a new change of direction may be needed. Sakurai also spoke about how a huge cast of characters makes it difficult to fine-tune each individual character.

There will be newcomers, just not as many as expected.

I think Sonic characters won't be in it because it's Nintendo. They also teamed up with Namco Bandai I think it was the name.

We can definitely expect a trailer, lots of details, and maybe even some demos next E3 with Namco Bandi pitching in.

The game will release much earlier and be much better now.

Nintendo Power...I haven't even gotten my June issue yet. I would've reported this to you earlier if I had my issues...

Regardless, I expected them to not include many new characters. If they added too many more, it's just end up being a pain, not "diverse".

What I wanna know is where's the caveman

Expect 5 new characters, one from Namco, Capcom, and the other 3 from Nintendo or vice versa...

Megaman will be in it I think. Baby Mario and Baby Luigi too. Also Paper Mario.

Maybe they might have a demo for 3DS, that lets us choose 4 characters 2 stages? Online Mulitiplayer?... Hopefully.

Expect at least SOME namco bandai characters since theyre helping out with the game.
