For you who dont know:
Ring around the rosie/rosy is really about one of the worlds "deadliest epidemic". The Bubonic Plague.

Lyric Meanings:

Ring around the rosie/rosy:
The plague caused a ring of blotches on the skin that were a "rosie/rosy" color.

Pocket full of posies:
Posies, the death flower, were put to the people to not make the scent of death come over them.

Ashes,ashes:
Burning down the house and dead bodies to try and rid the disease. (According to Doreee and reiko

We all fall down:
This one is obivous.
Death

So, when you were twirling around singing this and falling, you were pretending you were dying, and singing about death...

I taught myself this (I do research on stuff) "the old man is snoring" is also about death.
Its raining
its pouring
the old man is snoring
He went to bed
and he bumped his head
and didnt wake up in the morning.

Didnt wake up in the morning....
Obvious death.
