Fun SSB theory: The Pikachu in SSBB is an evolved Pichu from SSBM, and they cut off the original Pikachu.

Proof of this is in a Did you know gaming episode.

^Obviously you didn't see Sakurai's E3 Direct presentation. He said that he doesn't want the roster filled with 3rd party characters. Sonic is a class of his own, but this is Smash Bros, the characters are obviously Nintendo characters. Sure it's nice to a have a couple of 3rd party characters, but he doesn't want too much, or it will eventually have more 3rd party characters than Nintendo characters.

Mr. Game & Watch and Lucario not returning? Ha ha! You got that totally wrong.

But overall, it's pretty inaccurate due to a lot of character predictions.

But good times though.
