In all seriousness, it would've definitely been better-received if Nintendo had at least mentioned the FPS Wii U Metroid and sidescrolling 3DS Metroid they claimed to be working on many months ago, and didn't have Federation Force looking like an Atari Jaguar-based Skylanders mini-shooter... with (surprise) no online voice chat. Metroid fans have reason to be disappointed and even angry. Maybe not demanding-the-game-be-scrapped angry, but hey, everything has its extremes.

TheIronMadden (2015-06-19 01:46:38)I don't really care for this game. I just want to see everyone's reaction to said game because of all the backlash from it. I'm more interested in other games coming out later this year and next year, like Xenoblade Chronicles X, Fatal Frame, and Star Fox Zero.

pikarceus (2015-06-22 02:05:10)It's been 8 years since the last "good" 3d console Metroid game and more than ten since the last 2D one. I think the haters are justified. This would be totally different if this was being made to whet the appetite for Metroid Prime 4 or something awesome like that, but when you have a drought this long you do not pull spinoff crap. Imagine if there had beem no zelda for eight years and there was no zelda coming to Wii U and it was just that new 3ds spinoff. Yeah.

2. Wind Waker still had Link, was still at its core a Zelda game, and came only two years after Majora's Mask. Not comparable at all, there was no Zelda drought.

Who here is excited for the new and amazing addition to the Meroid Prime series? It'll be the next best game from Nintendo since Super Mario 64 and Super Smash Bros Melee.
