The reason striking should not be re added is because if one user does something he can be strikes for, and one mod gives him one strike already, how will the other mods know? What's stopping them all from giving him even more "one strikes" until he is banned?
A long time ago I made some mildly dirty joke in a thread comment. I was then sent a pm by a moderator telling me that I was given a strike for it. A minute later I saw that I had two different moderators each send me a pm saying the exact same thing. "I am giving you one strike for that comment you posted." Before I could even repy, saying that I already had been given a strike by a different moderator, I was banned and couldn't send the pm. Why you may ask? At least twelve more mods had already given me one strike AGAIN, thinking they were the only ones giving me one strike. As a result, I got banned and now for some reason leaving me four strikes on my profile.
Jason2k14 (2014-05-18 21:01:01)Maybe when a user breaks a rule and a moderator strikes that user, that other moderator who also saw the rulebreaker doesn't know that the other mod already striked him/her/it and so the other mod tries to strike him/her/it, but there's a Java alert that says "*username here* has already been striked by *moderator's name here*.
Back then, the strike system created havoc.

carlos11 (2014-05-18 21:02:48)^I'm sorry, but that is just hilarious.
I'm glad no one's said anything along the lines of, "taht wuz my ideea!11," because there isn't anything new on this thread. It's just a bunch of good ideas, for the most part, that had already been suggested, conveniently packed into one thread. Anyway, that's obviously why this is stickied.

carlos11 (2014-05-18 23:48:03)It should be mandatory for mods to announce when they take action. This can easily be done by posting a comment giving the reason. For example-
If a thread is useless: "Locked due to being useless:
If a user cusses: "Potty mouth, stop cussing. #Striked"
That way everyone that cares knows that something is being done about it ("it" being whatever is going on that requires help from mods).

AgurettiLeaf (2014-05-18 23:56:17)^ I agree.
And the purpose of this thread is to combine requests that people have suggested, take the best ones, and put them in a whole thread.

My story may sound odd, but it is not false. I was given more than one strike for the same thing, one way or another. If this can be fixed though, I say have at it.
AgurettiLeaf (2014-05-19 11:30:06)Probably just a bug. I recall that happening to me once. I'm sure Olivier could sort of patch striking for the forums up a bit.

Getting multiple Pms from multiple mods each giving me a strike isn't a bug.
ConnorRonnoc (2014-05-23 07:13:17)The problems with striking is that Mods abuse it, I was striked twice by a Mod who said I was spamming, since he didn't know what it really was, he's since been demoted.
bite za dusto
epicpwner2003 (2014-05-27 22:53:07)Good point.
But the closest I've got to a strike is getting yelled at by the system for cussing in chats.
...the noise the human language makes when it screams in agony. It is a pretty funny noise.

I have a few requests/"re-adds" to the forums. Some that will help, and some that will just be fun.
Addressing Links - You know how people have started addressing users like @username *post here*? I think that whenever you do so, it creates a link to their profile. It's just a minor thing and could help in some instances, like asking a mod for help. It could also help the mod thread. just put @ by every mod's username and it will address you to their profiles.
Re-add striking, but differently - I know a lot of forum mods want striking and flagging back, but I thought of bringing them back AND changing them up a bit. First of all, striking. Back when I was forum mod in the summer of 2013, I had to strike a post for calling out a user insultingly. If I recall, there was no insulting strike. I think we should get a wide variety of strike reasons to choose from, such as Spam, Inappropriate, Insulting, Pornography, Gore, Swearing, Drug References, Alt thread's, and maybe more. Also, banning people of the forums for a while. When you're banned, you get banned from everything. I think that only banning a user off the forums is fair.
Re-add flagging, but differently - I think we should re-add flagging, but let users use it. Say, noob999 makes a thread calling out trollswag101 and no mod sees it. averageguy69 notices that no mod has seen it. average clicks the Flag button by the post and inserts "Swearing and calling someone out". The Flag then gets sent to the forum moderators in PMs with the reason and screenshot of the thread. The user can NOT spam flags on the same thread, and can get banned if false flagging. Before you say he/she/it can spam PMs, there's a reason why we have a PM deleter.
A more advanced Search system - I think the search bar for threads we have is sort of weird. Keep in mind, it's okay, but not that helpful as to searching up threads. I think we should have a helpful search bar. First, we should place one in every forum so it can have a smaller number of threads to choose from. The user should type in the thread or words describing it. If you choose a specific thread, you get linked to it. But if it has multiples, it gives you list to choose from. Same with words describing the threads. It's easier than googling it, mainly because I came across things other than that thread(it's basically only google). It can also give users no excuse to make a thread just like another one.
Liking posts and disliking - I know this seems sort of dumb, but I think not. Sometimes we have dumbass posts, and users make a strongly true comment about the post. We want to like that post. Maybe if the user gets enough likes on his/her/it's post, they get postcount, 3DSPoints, or reputation(if the system even comes back). And if a post gets a lot of dislikes, they lose reputation or postcount. Just a small suggestion. Plus it can stop spam comments saying "I agree" over and over without a reason.
Things to do with postcount - I think postcount has always been considered "useless" or "dumb". Without the reputation system, I think it's even MORE useless. I think we should be allowed to use our postcount in a fun way. Maybe we can bring back silver and golden by our usernames in forum posts if we have 3500 postcount. I'm getting ahead of myself though. I just think maybe we can do something with our postcount rather than having it as a "pointless feature".
Online List - I know this seems useless a little, but I think a little online list on the bottom of the forum index menu would be a bit nice to have.
Trashcan Forum(credit to AntiChrist) - This is AntiChrist's idea obviously, see under the stickied threads of Feature Suggestions. This request is going to be sort of a rant than an explain, since all call be explained in his thread. I know users on the thread *cough* Lani *cough* think that 3DSPlaza should basically be a place where bab-- LITTLE kids can have fun without having to hear "f*** s*** n****" all the time, but I think that it's dumb to only let little kids have fun. Plus, we could have a warning when you enter.
Replies - I notice people using "@username" as a way to reply, or "User said: *blah blah blah*. Well, I think there should be a reply button at the end of every comment. That way, we can organize our replies. This icon should be at the bottom of every post:
Different Themes - This one sort of goes with the whole site, period. I think there should be different "themes". You would need 3000 points to get it and when you get it, you could choose from 10 defalt themes, like a black background with green text, a space theme, with maybe the header being all space looking. And then you can make your own theme for 50 points.
Well, that's all for now, but I will update this thread if I have any more.
What do you think on these?
