2DS is smaller than the original 3DS, maybe same size as the DSLite.

2DS will come with a 4 GB SD

2DS screen size is the EXACT same size as the original 3DS

The 2DS is not just for kids, it might be for the people who doesn't like the 3D feature at all. They're not gonna spend $40 for a feature they're not gonna use at all.

And Ody, yes the 2DS has been (and will continue to be) receiving a fair amount of criticism, but Nintendo's plan for this particular product is pretty much risk-free. And sorry that your crap Sony portables can't keep up with a franchise that has been dominating the handheld world for years. Nintendo products may be less powerful, scaled down, etc. But all their products are innovative. There's a reason Nintendo fans stay loyal and keep coming back. Most of them have been stomping on Goombas and wielding the Master Sword well before you were even born.

This is for people who don't have 200$ Parents are more likely to but this for their kids because for parents 200$ is too much to spend on their kid for something that won't benefit them at all, but they will pay 130$. It also has no hinge so little kids won't break it.

The 2DS is cheaper than the 3DS. Making it more affordable for parents with children who want a 3DS for christmas or for their birthdays, But can't afford one. So then the parents would have to explain to little timmy that mommy or daddy can't afford a 3DS this year. Making the 2DS sound like a godsend to the parents and the kids.
