Winning isn't necessarily important, I mean, you can win with more pokemon that just the ultrasuperpowerfulOU pokemon. Not to mention, many people use those pokemkn, your movesets will be easier to predict.

It's kind of like a "cheap win" in a way.

Would you rather use the OU/OP pokemon that everyone uses and easily winning, or would you rather have the pleasure of beating an OU/OP team with UU/NU pokemon?

There is a big list of competitive Pokemon rather then the same repeating teams that n00bzs use. Example: 75% of my competitive team wasn't even used at worlds and everybody was using completely different strategies. And we don't even use the same move sets. At worlds they had completely different setups/Held items on their Pokemon. And the reason why everybody is using OU Pokemon is because they give them the best shot of winning. Try beating a team of OU with nothing but NU/RU/UU. GL with that OU is sweeping while you are trying to get at least 1 move off. They are all in their tiers for a reason.

I use to think Pokemon battles were just for fun. It still is. I like playing Pokemon, and I do it for the fun. Urging yourself to saying you do it for winning is being a faggot.

But if you get tired of that person beating you every time, that's when you wanna win. Some of you might say "Oh, but if I play Pokemon for fun, wouldn't I end up losing?" Well, no because you can be like Ash (A lame faggot who thinks he can become a PKMN Champion). He did battles for the fun of it at times, but if you watched some shows of it, he obviously wanted to win against his rival. Other than battling your rival in a game, battling with players around the world is just for fun.



In Conclusion..


Praise Magikarp.

Honestly The guy won because of strategy not Pokemon, you can throw random ass Pokemon in two competitive pokemon player faces and they'll know what to do. People choose Garchomp and other Ubers mainly because they like them and maybe there favorite Pokemon not because they have a stupid label on them.
