SPCOxion (2014-02-01 03:58:25)"Nonsense. In the trashcan it won't matter."
...It's hard to not read that in a cheesy commercial narrator's voice.
"Occasional spam that rarely ever happens"
In a forum that doesn't exist yet? How do you know?! .O.
"The forums point is aimed at amusement"
The forum's point is aimed at discussion.
By the forum in "the forums" I mean particularly the trashcan, not all forums.
Also, since spamming isn't as much of an issue now, it's likely that the trashcan forum won't have any.
And Lani, you're seriously starting to seem like you are purposely trying to look for any small reason to disagree with this idea. Butthurt people leaving? Why would that be a problem in the slightest? It wouldn't defeat the purpose.
And about the kids going into the trashcan out of curiosity, that's still their decision as I've discussed before, and this website isn't made only for children. Us "bigger kids" need some fun too.
Bottom line is, we have good reasons for having a trashcan forum and it seems that at least more than half the people on this website approve of it,
Therefore we should give it a shot, and if maybe after a week or so it doesn't work out, then the whole trashcan can get deleted.
That sounds reasonable right?

The point I've been try to make in all my posts, is that there really aren't many "big kids" here. The majority of users here between 9 and 14. Kids have no self control. If they see a hate thread about themself, they're going to start defending themself; which will cause drama....I have nothing specifically against "drama" in general, but to make a forum specfically for this to happen is sadistic.
I still get the impression that you only want the trashcan forum specifically to see little kids raeg and start crap about scuicide. Rob/SL will never want that for their site, especially if it means a loss of users due to raeg quit.
There are so many other ways older members can be entertained here aside from watching children cat fighting...(Which isn't even entertaining in my opinion...it gets really old, really fast...)
Again, with the debate forum...No, there won't be any swears or insults or crying children, but I know plenty of big kids who would enjoy debating.
My issues with it may be "small", but they're still issues. I personally think the immorality of it all is reason enough, but again I suppose that it doesn't matter to the "big kids" (you know, the ones that should be responsible and gain amusement in other ways than drinking tears of infants.)
WOA WOA WOA
You are completely getting the wrong idea. I'm no sadist and I don't specifically like making little kids cry. Sometimes I find it fun to piss them off, sure. But if two kids argue and claim they commit suicide, there is no problem with that.
None of them did commit suicide, and they will not cry themselves to sleep every night just because of that one incident on the Internet.
Also, arguments aren't the only things. We like making sarcastic threads too that sometimes make no sense.
Even if its mildly innapropriate. None of the people agreeing with me want yet another forum board to be made where only one thing is made and it only is allowed to be made in a formal and serious way.
What evidence of "the majority being little kids" do you have anyway? From what I've seen, by actually looking through each forum board thoroughly, there are only more small kids than big ones, yes, but not by a lot.
We don't need 20 different forum boards to be made for all the different things that amuse us.
Again, the admins should at least let us TRY the trashcan. What major harm could really come of it?
Oh and the fact that the kids are the ones going into the trashcan in the first place, well, I think you can anticipate where I'm going from there.
Every thread lately that isn't all formal and serious is automatically being closed. Especially the ones that cause no real harm.
I have another interesting point:
The ones you claim will have problems with the trashcan are only the kinds of people who know for themselves that they shouldn't be going in there in the first place unless they know for sure that they are mature enough to handle it.
If they have problems, or should I say claim they are really emotionally hurt by the trashcan forum, is it really any reason at all to not approve of the trashcan forum?
Also, I'm pretty sure it's rational to say that I know for a fact that the kids won't really cut themselves over something a few people say about them on the Internet.
Maybe once in a whole there will be some 11 yea old girl that cries about something online, but it's not like she won't get over it in a couple of days.
These aren't major big issues that will tear the website apart.
If more good comes out of it than bad, why only focus on the ever so small amount of bad?

angelrulez7 (2014-02-05 22:03:35)And if it does turn bad, there can be an option on the profile edit.
"Enable trash can (at your own risk!)"

Sorry for bumping this again but we still haven't gotten an answer from an admin, assuming they haven't seen this yet that is.
little5 (2014-03-05 11:54:22)I think it'd be okay, but I agree with mega on the porn part. What if your parents try to check most to all feautures? They'd find that..
I think the trashcan should be cleaned everytime a thread hasn't been commented on in 1-2 months.
little5 (2014-03-06 22:55:08)^
Exactly, which would cause a decrease in plaza population. Considering the average ages are 11-14. :b
Wow thanks for bumping this guys. I almost completely lost faith in people agreeing with this.

So basically you want a rule-free zone, purposefully so that cat-fights and name calling break out? That's just going to make butt hurt kids quit plaza which defeats the purpose of trying to revive it.
Note: "Enter with your own risk" doesn't register with kid's minds. Trust me. I've tried this logic with them in the chatrooms. "If they bother you, just leave." They never seem to understand this concept. :T
