pikarceus (2012-08-12 03:40:00)HoR was not a big release, lol. It got almost no marketing. I doubt it will break 400k.
little5 (2012-08-12 15:10:18)How do ypu know if its a rehash if you haven't played the WHOLE game. Thats like saying the 3ds isn't in 3d without playing it... I suggest both. I got SM3DL and beat it, but my brother deleted it. NSMB2 seems like its gonna be fun. Try going to ebay and buy a used sm3dl for 10 bucks.
pikarceus (2012-08-12 15:29:53)@Jeran-NSMB 2 is selling on its name alone.
@little-How do you know it isn't a rehash without playing it?
pikarceus (2012-08-12 15:30:40)Good sales doesn't make a good game. I guess Call of Duty is the best game of all time. @Jeran
pikarceus (2012-08-13 00:37:07)Nintendo fanboy. It also has the same world layout, graphics, enemies, story, and coins aside, gameplay.

pikarceus (2012-08-13 16:01:13)@ModernShadow-Other 3DS games, such as Theatrhythm Final Fantasy have DLC. And coin rush isn't even the main game, it's just a small side addition. I love how Nintendo fanboys fawn over NSMB 2 having DLC, when MS and Sony have been doing DLC for years and years.
pikarceus (2012-08-13 22:36:57)It's a rehash. DLC is not NEW. OBVIOUSLY it has to have SOME new things, or else it would be a port.
But for a sequel, there are very few new concepts. It even has New in the name, which is hilariously ironic.

pikarceus (2012-08-15 20:33:38)Yes, it's a rehash. What you mentioned is very, very little. A true sequel should add many things like Galaxy 2. Collecting a million coins means nothing, they unlock absolutely nothing, they have no in-game value. Local co-op is not new. StreetPass is something all 3DS games should have, NSMB 2, Nintendo's biggest release this year, having StreetPass is not a big deal.
pikarceus (2012-08-15 23:05:38)This is a sequel to both the Wii and DS versions. It has elements from both. This is the first 2D Mario game on 3DS, of course StreetPass will be "new" to it.
pikarceus (2012-08-15 23:38:27)Sequels can be rehashes. A remake can't really be a rehash, because it is advertised as being an old game with a fresh coat a paint. You act like rehash is a term developers actually use when making their games lol.
There are sequels, ports, remakes, multiplatform games, and new IPs. Most of the time, rehashes are sequels.
pikarceus (2012-08-16 01:55:58)Super Mario Bros 3, Super Mario World, Super Mario Land & Super Mario Land 2 were all 2D yet innovatived and brought forth new things.

@Nintendude-Have you played BR?
@Jeran-Critics are biased in favor of big releases, like NSMB 2 and CoD.
