She'd obviously take me.

I thought that for quite some time but then I dove too deep into weeb stuff that I lost all sense of shame. You'll like it, I promise. If you liked K-On, Love Live should be a hit.

Although K-On focuses way more on trying to make the girls look cute and Love Live actually has a plot.

Oooh boy. Coming from somebody who's actually seen both instead of talking out of their ass I can tell you for certain that K-On has way more moe pandering . All you've seen in this thread is just isolated screens or fanart because this is a thread to post cute things so of course we're going to focus on that instead of actually debating plot or characterization. In response to the boob joke nonsense, K-On has it's fair share of sexual humor with a running joke revolving around Mio's panties, sensei telling Ui and Yui apart by their chests, sensei putting girls in sexy costumes, etc. There's even two beach fanservice episodes in the first season alone. You really can't say K-On's humor doesn't revolve around that and turn around to say Love Live's does because of a single screenshot. Love Live doesn't even try to be funny so using humor isn't a valid argument in comparing the two, but you wouldn't have known because you seem to want to remain ignorant instead of actually going and experiencing it yourself so I'll excuse that whole part for now.

Speed rounds now-
Great animation- I'll give this to you. Love Live's art and animation isn't the best.

Great characters- Love Live has nine honest to goodness realistic main characters opposed to K-On's five exaggerated versions of real life characteristics. (That's a common thing in SoL. How much have you seen?)

Great character/voice acting- μ's was an already an idol group years before the anime even came out. The seiyuu lived and breathed their characters during their run aa μ's so you'll bet Mio's thick ass they portrayed them well.

Culture- I don't see how this is an argument, but I'll go over it anyway. Love Live focuses more on plot instead of daily life business so there isn't too much culture being shown around other than idol culture. K-On doesn't really have this either apart from the New Year's stuff which is present in tons of SoL anime. You could count the part time job they got counting cars too if you want to stretch. (If you like anime that show Japanese culture try out Hanasaku Iroha or Barakamon)

Music- Like I said before, μ's was already an idol group a few years before the anime. Music from Love Live consistent topped Japanese music charts. There's also way more of it than K-On. Unlike Love Live, which focuses heavily on music, K-On actually tries to avoid showing the girls playing music. The mangaka admitted to it too. I don't know why you even brought it up. Love Live music is K-On music turned up to about fifty times. Yui is the center for just about every song aside from solos while Love Live has the nine characters switching between the role. Music in K-On is all of the same rock type of genre while Love Live represents many genres. S'ing my freaking h right here.

Vibe- Atmosphere of a show is definitely important. While I do like K-On's, you just get really sucked in to the events in Love Live.

Too Long; Did not Read! : Love Live is good. Check it out. Stop being ignorant and stubborn.

Its because I've had the K-On conversation with you before. I also can't excuse you for pretending unsightly parts of K-On don't exist while you try to accuse Love Live of the same thing. Fairness in all things, I say.

I'm sorry I hurt your feelings.

Nah, the CG is still there but it's a little better than it was before.

'I probably would if you weren't such a condescending prick about it.'

Me when Mega kept pushing me to watch Zootopia.

Cute pic.

The whole reason I even went into any amount of depth comparing the two was because you said "Aaaand that's why I want to be able to say that LL is " just because I compared the two in the most simple way possible, trying to clear up that Love Live hardly actually focuses on making characters cute.

I had intended to end it there but then you went and listed stuff you liked about K-On then called Love Live moe pandering . [Link=http://i.imgur.com/ivTyu3O.png]What else was I supposed to interpet that as?[/link] For the most part, that whole thing was supposed to show you that Love Live had nearly everything you liked about K-On and more in some areas.

And yeah, everything having realistic characters would be boring. Problem is, pretty much nothing has honestly realistic characters. Even more so in my opinion, every anime having some batch of exaggerated characters is even worse than boob humor. While K-On is better at this than other SoL, it still falls victim to it. Yes, believability is important, but even more important than that is being able to connect with them and feel with them. This is especially important in a show like Love Live that's plot relies so heavily on characters' emotion. I realize now that "realistic" a poor choice of words that didn't really convey what I wanted to say.

Now, about boob jokes again. See how you *got upset when I isolated parts of K-On that didn't reflect well on the series as a whole? It's rather unfair.

*I'm assuming because you typed in all caps.

When you say character acting through animation, if what I'm assuming it means is true, then yeah Love Live does a good job at that too. I don't think I've seen something that does a bad job at that.

About culture, you always talk about it so I had assumed for whatever reason you thought how culture was reflected impacts how good something is.

Seperating OP/ED from music characters play in both Love Live and K-On is pointless because they're all sung by the seiyuu. I don't think I've ever really found any background music for a SoL something memorable outside of the show.

And no, I was never bashing K-On. I don't know how many times I'll have to say it, but I like it quite a bit. I've seen it in both Japanese and English and talk about it with other weebs (online of course) on like a weekly basis. (One of the weeb circles I'm in has a fondness for it)

So do we just have clashing personality, bad aura, or are ancient gods using us as puppets to settle their war or something because we can't seem to talk without getting into arguments half the time.

If might just be the screen barrier.

@Nemesis

Maybe a lot more than you wanted to know, but seriously awesome nonetheless.

Also, the beginning of the actual scene is cute enough to warrant it being posted here.
Nemesis (2016-07-14 22:29:40)
I'm not watching that my assumption is she wanted to know if the fish was Dead or Alive.

@Nemesis, too bad. You're missing out, especially if you like Aerosmith.
